Habitat
Blue Ringed Octopus are mainly found in tidal
rock pools around Australia
Venom
The
venom contains tetrodotoxin.
It carries enough poison to kill more than 20 adults within
minutes. Neurological problems may accur such as
numbness or paraesthesia, weakness, breathing difficulties,
paralysis and unable to respond, sometimes with fixed
dilated pupils. There is no
known antidote

is used for this type of bite.
- Firm pressure is applied over the bitten area and the limb
is immobilised. Transport the patient to the nearest medical
centre.
