REEF & OUTBACK 6 NIGHT PACKAGE

Orpheus Island Resort Accommodation

Able to accommodate up to 28 guests at any one time, Orpheus Island Lodge is known for its intimate ambiance and attention to detail. All 14 rooms feature thoughtful touches like bathrobes and slippers, along with conveniences such as refrigerators and coffee makers. Patios and iPod docks are standard, as are plasma TVs with satellite channels. 



North Beachfront Room

With sweeping views of the Coral Sea, the North Beachfront room is our stunning entry level accommodation. Perfect for couples or people travelling as a twosome, these rooms are the epitome of laid-back luxury and can be booked with one king bed or twin beds.

 

North Beachfront Suite

With a spectacular view out to the Coral Sea the North Beachfront Suites are perfectly sheltered ensuring a tranquil sanctuary for you to unwind in. These suites are perfect for couples or those with an additional guest and can easily accommodate an extra bed. (Max 3 guests)

 

North Beachfront Villa

Situated on the sheltered western side of the island, there are four North Beachfront Villas on our private island. Our tranquil luxury villas offer contemporary and minimalist island aesthetics, with plenty of room to relax and unwind after exploring the island. Perfect for families or groups, boasting Coral Sea views, spectacular Orpheus sunsets and a fresh sea breeze. (Max 5 guests)



South Room

Offering utter privacy, just a stone’s throw from the water’s edge and surrounded by lush tropical gardens. These bungalow-style rooms are understated whilst embracing the natural surrounds. Smaller than the suites, they feature private indoor and outdoor showers. 



South Suite

Unobtrusive, romantic and contemporary, these stylish suites offer a secluded escape, wake up amongst rich tropical gardens with a view out to the ocean. These spacious suites are perfect for couples or honeymooners and feature outdoor stone bath. (Max 3 guests)

Enjoy gourmet meals featuring fresh, locally sourced produce to suit the island climate.  Complimentary selection of wines and beers also provided.



Breakfast 8.00am to 10.00am – continental and à la carte. Breakfast: 8am to 10am Continental and a la carte Lunch: 1pm tapas-style selected by Head Chef Dinner: 7pm degustation dinner. Orpheus Island Resort Activities 

Set against a backdrop of natural beauty along 11km of pristine coastline, this secluded resort is the ultimate five-star island getaway, offering a multitude of ways to explore the World Heritage-listed waters of the Great Barrier Reef. From fishing, to beachcombing fringing bays aboard a motorised dinghy, or joining an exploratory cruise gliding above coral gardens while sipping on Australian wine – your stay at Orpheus Island Lodge can be as adventurous or relaxing as you wish.



And there are plenty of snorkel and dive sites waiting to be explored, with Orpheus principal dive sites boasting 1,100 of the 1,500 species of fish on the reef. Venture to nearby locations or further out to the deeper reefs, accessible via a 75-minute boat ride.



Why not time your stay during manta ray season, between July to November; or Humpback whale migration, from late June to late September?  If you’d prefer to spend a day or two of your stay easing into island time, indulge in a pampering at Gwandalan Day Spa, hideaway with a novel in the reading room, or while away the hours by the infinity pool, looking out to the Coral Sea. 

Orpheus Island Resort Location

Orpheus Island Lodge is located on the Great Barrier Reef off the North Queensland Coast. Enjoy a 30 minute scenic helicopter transfer from Townsville, or 1.5 hour helicopter transfer from Cairns.



Helicopter Transfers ex Townsville: Townsville to Orpheus Is - departing 2pm, arriving 2.30pm. Orpheus to Townsville - departing 2.30pm, arriving 3pm. Rates from $500 per person oneway (subject to change) 



Helicopter Transfers ex Cairns/Daintree: On Request by private charter. Cairns to Orpheus - departing 11am, arriving 12.30pm. Orpheus to Cairns - departing 12.30pm, arriving 1.45pm. Please note luggage restrictions apply (max 15kgs) Luggage storage facilities are available.



Helicopter transfers to/from Orpheus are operated by a third party. At the time of booking, it’s mandatory for guests to supply their individual body weights (kg) to confirm helicopter transfers. On the day of transfer, passengers are restricted to a maximum of 15kg of luggage each (this includes hand luggage). Any excess luggage can be stowed at the respective Nautilus Aviation hangar. Each helicopter type is limited to certain payload restrictions. Should a couples’ combined weight exceed 200kg (2 x passengers plus luggage), an additional upgrade fee will be applicable. Should a passenger’s individual body weight have a variance of more than 10% from their initially quoted weight, Nautilus Aviation Pty Ltd. reserves the right to charge an additional upgrade fee.
